  • Program Duration: two academic years. (Four semesters)
  • Minimum Education Level Required to Apply:  Dental degree from a recognized dental school
  • Program Language: English
  • Application Deadline: October 25, 2018
  • Application process for academic year 2019-2020 will reopen on February 1, 2019
  • Program Start date: December 10, 2018
  • Tuition fee: $25,000 per semester for the class starting the 2018-2019 academic year, payable yearly
  • Degree Earned Upon Completion: Doctor of Dental Medicine. (California Code of Regulations 1700.5  allows licensees to append “D.D.S.” to his or her name)

Applicant’s Document Requirements

Please make sure all the documents are designated only with the name on your valid passport.

The following materials must be submitted directly to the University of Moldova.US:

  1. A completed Application Form for the USMFUSA International Dental Program (IDP) in English fully approved by the California  Dental  Board
  2. A notarized copy of your dental diploma endorsed with an Apostille
  3. A notarized copy of your birth certificate
  4. A copy of your passport. The passport must be valid for a period of not less than one year from the program start date
  5. A Criminal Background check by a governmental agency of the applicant’s country of residency, endorsed with an Apostille
  6. A recent bank statement proving that sufficient funds (at least $50 000) are available to pay tuition expenses
  7. A letter on a Physician’s letterhead confirming that the applicant does not have any communicable diseases that may pose a threat to public health. This medical certificate shall also state the applicant’s AB0 blood type (including Rh factor). Here is a sample medical certification form
  8. 10 passport size pictures on a white background
  9. A completed and signed Declaration Form
  10. If the applicant is married, a notarized copy of the Marriage certificate
  11. If the applicant graduated from a high school outside of the United States, verification of English proficiency is required
  12. If available, any other diploma confirming college or university education, endorsed with an Apostille
  13. If available, proof of passing NBD Part 1 and NDB Part 2;
  14. Letters of recommendation
  15. Application fee – $150.00

IMPORTANT:

  • All documents shall have notarized translation into English.
  • All the materials shall be submitted to umusa.org@gmail.com. Each document shall be scanned separately into PDF format and attached as a separate file.  Each file name shall consist of the Applicant’s Last, First Name_Type of document (Example: << Smith, John _Application Form>>). Use only the name on your valid passport.
  • Application fee shall be paid by check, payable to the University of Moldova.US and mailed to:

    Please mark the memo area of the check with the applicant’s name and designate as an application fee (Example: << Smith, John _Application Fee>>).
  • Applicant must submit original hard copies of electronically submitted documents upon request.

Upon receipt and review of your application, you will be scheduled for an admission examination. An interview will also be conducted.

Additional Requirements

Letters of recommendation:

The applicant must submit one current letter of recommendation from each of the following individuals:

  1. The dean or faculty member of the applicant’s dental school
    (If you are not able to obtain a letter of recommendation, then you may use a verification letter from your dental school. The verification letter shall state the dates of your enrollment and graduation from the dental program and the dental degree received)
  2. A dental school clinical instructor who is able to ascertain the applicant’s professional and dental aptitude
  3. A personal reference from a person of the applicant’s choosing, preferably a colleague with whom the applicant has worked with or went to school with.

Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) Course-by-Course Report 

  • All IDP applicants are required to have their transcripts translated and evaluated by the Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) Course by Course report
  • The report must include a comprehensive grade average
  • The applicant should specify on the ECE application that they would like the evaluation to be sent directly to:

The following documents are to be submitted to ECE (https://www.ece.org/ECE):

  • The original certified college (post-secondary) transcripts
  • The original certified professional education transcripts
  • An official copy of the diploma and/or degree from the applicant’s dental school program
