The Dental School was founded more than half a century ago at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu (USMF), providing both general and specialty dental training, Over the years the faculty has expanded to include 41 PhDs, nine doctors of medicine, and 112 employees. In 2012, the new, second dental clinic was commissioned, equipped according to the latest international standards. The faculty continues to cooperate with dental schools in multiple countries, including the United States, Israel and Germany. In 2000, the Dental School introduced a curriculum completely in English. The Dental Faculty is committed to conforming to current international dental education standards, constantly developing areas of research and instituting innovative new systems of dental practice.
Because of the success of this program and the quality of instruction, the school was fully approved by the Dental Board of California in 2018, becoming the first and only approved Dental School in English outside of the United States of America. Now, when you graduate from this dental school, you will be allowed to apply for the required state dental examinations in order to apply for a California Dental License, equivalent to attending a dental school in the State of California. All the admission interviews and examinations are held in our California office for the convenience of our applicants.
Our main goal is to prepare ethical, compassionate and highly-qualified professionals. Our curriculum is specifically structured to prepare students for taking all the CA licensure examinations. The School of Dentistry’s 5-year dental program is the only one in the world entirely in the English Language outside the United States of America that has the approval of the Dental Board of California.
